Using an eSIM in United States
Install before you fly
Download the eSIM on Wi-Fi at home. Keep it switched off for data until you land, then turn on data roaming for the Roamline line.
Your number stays
The eSIM carries data only. Calls, SMS and WhatsApp keep working on your usual number; put the eSIM on mobile data and leave the rest as it is.
4G and 5G where available
Connects to T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T and more, chosen automatically. If a plan slows after its full-speed allowance, the card says so.

Questions
United States eSIM FAQ
Which United States plan should I pick?
Light use (maps, messages, email) is about 1 GB a week; add social media and photos and 5 GB covers two weeks comfortably; streaming or working remotely wants 10 GB or unlimited. Pick the validity that covers your dates with a day spare.
Does my phone support eSIM?
Most phones from 2018 onwards do: iPhone XR/XS and newer, Pixel 3 and newer, Galaxy S20 and newer, and many others. The phone must also be carrier-unlocked. Check your model, or dial *#06# and look for an EID line.
When does the plan start?
Most plans start when the eSIM first connects to a network at your destination, so you can install it days before you travel. A few start at installation; each plan says which on its card.
When do I receive the eSIM?
Immediately after payment: on the confirmation page, by email, and under My eSIMs. Install it on Wi-Fi before you fly.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
Yes. WhatsApp stays tied to your usual number; the eSIM only provides the data. Keep your main SIM on for calls and SMS if you need them.
Can I share the data (hotspot)?
Hotspot and tethering work on the large majority of plans. Where an operator restricts it, the plan details say so.
What if the data runs out?
Top up from My eSIMs in a few taps; the new package queues behind the current one, nothing to reinstall. We also email you at 80% usage.
